Sun and rain

I am so happy to see the sun.  I do not remember the last time I saw it this beautiful.  I hate my allergies though. I do not like bitting my feet constantly.  It is so annoying.  There have been a lot of thunder storms this week.  I do not like thunder.  It is loud and I have few places to hide.  One of my safe spots is under my girl's bed.  I love it in there because it makes me feel safe.  There are some crazy dogs on my walking route.  they bark at my and some of them get in my face.  I am not comportable with those dogs.  One of my favorite dogs is named Raven.  She is a big black lab.  She understands that I am sensitive and listens to her girl friend on walks and when she is helping her outside.

What a mess

There has been a lot of people at my house lately.  Some times they are all dressed up.  My girl told me that it was because her sis is graduating high school.  I do not know exactly what this means but it sounds big.  My girl also told me that her extended family is coming into town for the big event.  I have not met them so I am a little nervous.  The other day My girl took me for a walk with Lilly and Big mama.  Big mama wanted to talk to the neighbors so my girl told me to sit and stay.  I love and trust my girl so much that I did what she told me to do.  She rewarded me by letting me run.  We ran all the way home from the other side of the street.  It is the longest and fastest I have ever run.  She was so happy with me that she gave me two treats.  People have not been feeling well around here as of late.  Big mama was gone a long time and my girl looked worried.  I can smell when someone is not feeling their best and big mama reeks of it.  I am hoping she feels better soon because I love walking with her and when she calls me Ellie Bockashnelli.  It lets me know she cares about me and my girl.  My girl has been trying to teach me something.  She says "High Five" and I am supposed to do something.  I do not know what it is but it has something to do with the fact that she gently takes my paw in her hand.  I am not comfortable with this idea. 

Busy Busy Busy

I have been busy lately. The other day my Girl's friends were over for our first bash at my house. I did not bark my head off at any of her guy friends which I always does. I was happy about that. To make the night better I jumped on the couch with Big mama and kissed her all over. My girl was so happy that she gave me a yummie I rarely get but love so much. I just like to be shure that no one is going to take it from me.  There was a lot of commotion these past few weeks.  It is sunny so they let Lilly and I outside a lot.  I do not understand what I am supposed to do outside other than what I do.  I hope I find out what all is so fun about staying outside for long streaches of time.  Till I can get back to writing more here is what is happening now.  Love Ellie.

What a walk

My girl took me for a very long walk today.  We went to a different walking ground.  I was so scared but I faced all my fears.  The first thing I saw was a very big dog.  I hid behind my girl and kept walking.  Then she wanted me to cross a busy street.  I hate cars.  They are too fast and too big.  I used to stop dead in my tracks when I saw or heard cars drive by.  This time I just kept on walking.  A little yorkie puppy came up to me and said hi right in my face.  I normaly do not like this but I understood that he was a very small puppy so I did not protest.  I was just happy that he did not want to play.  My side has been bothering me lately and i did not want it to get worse with a puppy playing rough.  My girl pet us both and found his mama then we kept on going.  A big dog ran towards us barking madly.  We were so scared but just kept on going.  I also met a very well behaved airdale terrier.  He wanted to say hi but I was not ready to meet another big dog just yet.  When we got home my girl gave me a treat, love, and food.  Now I am going to see what this amazing smell is.  It is coming from downstairs.  It smells like cooked meat and flowers.  I think a friend is here.  I hope she gives me some meat.

I missed my girl

My girl and Dada went away for the weekend.  She told me she would only be gone one day and one night.  I missed her so much.  I did not want to hang out with the family who stayed.  They fed me and took me for walks.  I still missed my girl.  I was very moppy and sluggish.  When my girl came home I was so happy that I danced the rest of the night.  We played the stair game.  I layed on her lap as we watched a movie.  I followed her all night.  I was happy to sleep in my bed in my girls room again.  Last night I slept in Sis's room.  Lilly was not happy with this arrangement.  I was not that happy either because I wanted to sleep in my corner with my girl watching over me in her bed.  I attacked my girl with kisses and let her hug me.  I know she missed us all while she was away.  She told me of her adventures.  I can not wait to hear the new music she told me about.  The main band was her favorite band called AFI.  They are not my favorite.  My girl loves their music a lot.  I prefer Motzart.  His music makes me smile.  Time to eat.  I smell Big mama cooking.  Hopfully I can have some.  I love cooked meats.  Big mama is an excellent chef.

I've got sunshine

What a beautiful day.  It is sunny with some cloud cover.  It is warm and the birds are singing.  A day like this can turn any bad dog into an angel.  My girl woke up early.  I followed her outside for our rutine.  Then I whent straight back to bed.  Later her sis came in to check on me.  I rolled over so she could rub my belly.  She let me and Lilly outside to play.  I am not used to the idea of playing outside.  It was fun but we made a mess of the house.  Sis had to clean up after us.  I hate the vaccume so I decided to face my fear and stay downstairs till my girl came home.  When she did she fed me brunch.  She went upstairs to eat her food.  I followed her up when I was finnished.  We went for a walk after some relaxing time.  I met one of the neighbors on our walk.  She was very nice and pet me behind the ear.  That is one of my favorite spots to be rubbed.  Now I am happily chewing on my rawhide till nap time.

The park

My girl took me to the park today.  I walked up to a nice, old lady who pet me when I greeted her.  She told me I was pretty.  I also met a puppy who wanted to play.  I just wanted to run away and hide in my bed.  I followed my girl around the rest of the day.  Now I am chewing on my rawhide till bed.

New toy

My girl gave me the strangest thing today.  She says that it is a toy.  It feels good in my mouth but smells odd.  She placed some food inside it and I am trying to get it out.  It is driving me crazy because I want the food and it is taking forever to come out.  My girl took Lilly and I on a walk together.  Lilly is not used to my girl walking her so she missbehaved.  I did not want to go because it was so cold but my girl strongly insisted on me going.  I just wanted to go inside and play with my new toy where it is warm.  I like the warm house I live in.  My girl also gave me a new sweater.  This helps keep me warm and I feel so pretty when I wear it.

School day

My girl took me to the store today.  I was able to meet new friends.  She showed me where all the treats and rawhides are.  We attended a class on social skills.  The teacher told my girl new ways to meet friends and introduce me to her friends.  We played games and I watched the puppys rough house.  The teacher dog was very calm and very pretty.  She told me I was a good role model for the other dogs.  My girl let me pick out two rawhides because I was so good.  She then took me for a walk around a big building with lots of cars.  My girl told me that this is where Mama works.  Dada took us home to pick up Lilly and take us to the park.  I love the park because there are lots of different smells and sites.  I came home and ate dinner.  Now all I want to do is sleep.

Play therapy

I have played all day.  I taught my girl how to throw a flat rawhide disk in the air then chase it and chew on it.  She needs some major practice.  My fur is growing in nicely.  I am not so cold outside now.  My colors are showing up more each day.  I am mostly white but I have patches of light brown and grayish black.  I am having trouble understanding what my girl means when she says things in human.  She says "Come" a lot.  She also says "Good girl" which I love how she says it I just have no idea what she means.  Sometimes when I follow her and she says these things she gets very excited and happy.  I like all the attention.

A walk is a good way to meet new people

On our walk today my girl and I took Lilly and her sister with us.  It was a very nice walk in my opinion.  I met two new dogs.  Their mom was a friend of my girl so they talked for a while.  The two big labradors were very nice to me.  They scared me a little though because they are so big.  I allowed them to introduce themselves as long as they did not get to personal.  I also met three nice little girls.  They seemed nice and were very gentl with Lilly.  I alowed them to pet me.  I felt so happy that they were nice to me I wanted to do a victory run home.  My girl, her sister, and Lilly ran with me.  I was so happy that I played nice and enjoyed the sun with my family.

Lazy day

I stayed in bed all day only to get up when it was time to get some water.  I followed my girl around the house and lay down with her on the cozy couch.  I sleped in the sun with my friend Lilly.  I went on two great walks.  One was with just me and my girl.  We saw Haley and some little kids.  They were cute but I wanted to go home.  Mama gave me a bath today.  I look so pretty and feel so good.  I love baths because it is a free massage with warm water.  It makes me feel warm all over.  I hate the blow dryer.  It is too hot and very loud.  I get really scared when it is time to have my hair blow dryed.  Mama noticed how much it scared me when I told her how scared I was.  She picked me up and held me close telling me "I am not going to hurt you."  I felt better and allowed her to finnish.  Later in the evening Mama, my Girl, Lilly, and Dada took me for a walk.  I felt so good and strong.  I think my gait has gone away because I am not walking like a bunny/duck.  It makes me happy to know my girl will take good care of me for a long time.

The day gets better

After I went for a walk with Big mama and my girl I felt so much better.  I layed in the sun with Lilly which felt good.  I also ate lunch and took a long nap.  Mama wanted me to go outside but I could not figure out why.  Lilly had fun outside chasing a ball.  I still do not know what all the fuss was about.  I chewed on my rawhide a lot today.  It is my favorite past time.  I also stole a sock.  Those things are so fun to steal because they are soft and you can play tug-o-war with them.  I posted a few pictures that made me smile.  One is of my friend Lilly and I sun bathing.  The other is me hugging my rawhide while I took a nap.  Hope they make your day.

My new blanket

Yesterday my girl got me a new blanket.  It is so soft and warm.  Another thing I liked about yesterday is Big mama gave me a new treat.  It was so good that i ate it in nothing flat. I met a new friend the other day.  Her name is Haley.  She lives down the street and has a tendency to follow me when she is out of the house so I have to take her home.  What a funny friend.  I am having a little bit of a rough day so far.  I do not want to have anything to do with my human friends.

Sometimes you have a bad day

My girlfriend went to work today as she always does.  When she comes home she smells like old books.  It is a very intriguing smell because you never know where they come from no matter how much you breath it in.  She left me in my bed alone with my rawhide and a cookie.  I was sad to see her leave again.  I slept and chewed my rawhide till she came home.  I did not eat my cookie because I wanted to eat it with her.  I wanted to play so i asked  Dada.  He said yes but I did not realize how rough he played.  I was not happy about how rough it was so I snapped.  Once I relized what had happened I felt so bad that I ran and hid from him.  I still feel bad but I think he forgives me for my bad behavior.  My girlfriend ran me around the big circle and the little circle.  It is so cold out that I was not shure I wanted to.  It felt good to get some energy out.  Now i am going to sleep as I write this.

My sleepy day

Today my girlfriend woke up early.  I wanted to sleep.  That is exactly what I did when she let me go back to my bed.  My girl was gone for a long time.  I stayed in my bed the whole time she was gone as always.  When she came home I danced and she gave me a cookie.  This made me so happy.  I love cookies when there seems to be no reason to get one.  Like before bed.  She calls it my night night treat.  I just like it when I can eat.  I am very protective of my food.  I lay next to my food after meals so that no one will take it.  A great part of today was when Big mama gave me people food.  It was a small piece but it was so good.  I had a great day.

Good night my some one

My girlfriend loves to sing to me.  She is not the best singer but it makes me feel good.  The past few days were tough for me.  She was not home to play with me.  I would not leave her room all day.  She sang to me today and that made everything better.  I was scared when she was cleaning because it was loud in the house.  I do not like it when there is something loud around me.  I hid in my bed the entire time.  After that my girl wanted to go for a walk.  I did not.  So I simply lay down on the floor and did not move.  Now I am going to chew on my rawhide as I watch all the people go fast on the ice sorounded by my family.

A day spent with a friend is what the doctor ordered

Today was a great day.  The last few days I was sad because I did not have my girlfriend to hang out with.  Today we spent the entire day together.  We took naps, went for a long walk, played with a soft toy, and cuddled on the couch watching all the pretty dogs win first place.  I wish that I was a show dog.  I walk just as good as they do.  I am as pretty as they are.  I know that i am a little scruffy now but I will grow into my fur soon.  That will be when I can win first place at a dog show.  I do not know how to get into a show or if I'm even eligible for the prize.  A dog can only dream, right?  Well my girl wants to go for a bedtime walk.  I think I will run her around the block then crash in my warm bed for the night. 

Rain, Rain go away, Little Ellie wants to play

It rained all day.  I was not in a good mood because of this natural fact.  Big mama gave me a bath.  When my girlfriend came home later than usual I wanted to play.  I did not like it when she took my toy.  I loved chasing it through the house.  When the rain stopped My girlfriend took me for the longest walk.  now all I want to do is sleep. 

A long nap is the best way to stay close to friends

Today my girlfriend and I slept in.  Because of this we were unable to go on our morning walk.  When Big mama came home from girlfriend's work she took me on a walk.  She is a lot of fun to walk with but it is not the same as my girlfriend.  When girlfriend came home she currled up next to my bed and we fell asleep together for a long time.  She then took me to the tv room to watch a silly show.  Soon my tummie grawled and it was time to eat.  I played with a fuzzie ball after dinner.  It was so much fun watching Lilly chase her toy as I chewed on my fuzzie ball.  Girlfriend took me on a walk after she ate.  It was fun, except when i heard a loud dragging noise which scared me to death.  It turned out to be a trash can that someone was taking out.  I came home and took a cat nap in my bed watching my girlfriend study something on her computer.  Big mama and dada took me out for a long walk before bed.  They let me run a lot as long as I came back when I was called.  I ran so much that I am wiped out right now.  I am going to sleep all night tonight.  Just as soon as i get a little snack before bed.  I am going to try to get my girlfriend to give me one of those yummie soft treats.

The best bed

My bed just got updated.  My girlfriend has this big, cozy bean bag chair by her bed.  Big mama took my bed and put it on top of the bean bag chair.  I was so excited that I wanted to get in it before she finnished.  It is the best thing since gourmet dog treats.  Another thing I love is when my favorite towel is warm.  My family has this magic machine which makes everything warm.  I was so cold yesterday that I was shivering.  My girlfriend covered me in my warm towel.  I was so happy and warm that I slept all night.  I love my new home.

For the love of BED

I love my bed.  I love my bed so much that sometimes I do not want to get out of it.  Ok, that was a little over exagerated, sorry, let me refrase.  A lot of the time I do not like to get out of my bed.  Last night my girlfriend wanted me to come downstairs with her.  I did not feel like it because I was so warm and comfortable.  So she tried to give me a treat but i was not going to move.  Then she gave me a hug to move me a little and took my bed.   I followed her to try to get my bed back.  I eventually did because that night was the first night she let me sleep on my favorite bed in her room.  I was so happy that i slept through the night.

Friends helping friends

I was not feeling my best yesterday so I did not post.  My eye was really bothering me.  My girlfriend helped me get over it by gently wiping my eye clean.  Today She woke me up very early because she wanted us to watch a cool video on the television.  It was nice to see her that early.

I am beautiful

I got a bath today.  It was not my favorite thing but I did not fuss.  When I was done my girlfriend told me I was beautiful and gave me a treat.  I am now wearing a fuzzy, warm colar scarf and I feel good.  I wanted the last chew bone but I was not able to have it because Lilly wanted it also.  Now neither of us can have it.  My girlfriend took me for a nice run twice today.  It felt so good haveing the wind blow through my ears.  I hope she takes me for another walk before I go to sleep. 

How to stay entertained

I woke up crying today.  Dada took me outside then carried me to my girlfriend"s room.  I was very happy to see her and be with her at that time.  After we took a two hour nap my girlfriend took me for a walk and gave me breakfast.  She then left to start something she said will help her learn how to get me food and treats.  Big mama came home before girlfriend did.  She gave me a special chewing candy.  It smelled so good that I took it and hid so no one would steal my special treat.  Once I started eating it big mama came over and without thinking I gave her a warning.  Now that I look back I think she just wanted to give me a rub.  Big mama left to go get my girlfriend and let me stay out of my room.  When girlfriend came home I was so happy that I gave her my signature welcome.  This includes my happy dance where I do a dog-twist-hop, my please pet me/I'll pet you head rub on her legs, and a multitude of kisses.  She gave me a chewy treat.  I ate it in one bite because it was so good.  Now I am falling asleep next to my girlfriend with my head on her knee dreaming about chicken treats and fried rawhides.

How to keep warm

I was so excited this morning because I knew today was going to be another great day.  After falling into the small pond yesterday I knew I was loved and wanted to play with my friends.  I woke up my friends dada and girlfriend.  We played for a while on dada's and mama's big bed.  It was warm so I slept there for a nother hour.  My friends had to go their way today so I stayed in my room.  I was able to do a lot of thinking during this time.  I decided that this pack of humans are letting me be a good part of their pack.  When Big Mama came home she let me out of my room.  I went straight to my girl's room.  Soon my girl came home and gave me a harness.  This made me happy because now I feel much safer and do not need to use my coat as a harness any more.  She also gave me bigger food bowls.  This made me happy but I still do not like where they are placed.  The whole pack went for a walk up the hill.  It was a lot of fun running up the hill with my girlfriend.  Now I am enjoying the company of my pack family under my girlfriend's covers, in the warmth of a big house, surrounded by love.

Snow day!!

My girlfriend came to my room a little later than she usually does this morning.  I was so happy that I almost broke my door.  We played, went outside, and played some more.  I slept happily for several hours later.  After my nap my friends lilly, mama, dada, and my girlfriend took me for a walk up a big hill close to our house.  It was a lot of fun because I was able to smell different things and get more exercise.  My girlfriend and her brother went outside to play in the snow.  They let me come with them so I put on my coat and preceded to explore the big backyard.  I was smelling the ground in this one area and did not realize that there was a hole in the ground filled with water.  Big mama and dada wraped me in towles and kept me warm till my girlfriend came inside to play with me.  I found some interesting critters in our house.  I am not shure what to think of them yet.  Big Mama gave me a warm lunch made of gravy and kibble.  It was very good.  I curled up on the couch in between mama and my girlfriend watching some silly TV show they seem to really love.  I do not care what I watch as long as I get rubbed on.  As much as I love to get rubbed I am still sensitive sometimes.  I do not mean harm but I just can not help myself at times.  My girlfriend told me about some treats that she shuld be getting soon so hopfully I will not be as sensitive.

Sleeping with friends

Today was mostly uneventful.  I took a nap with my friends.  One of my friends who is a dog named Lilly slept on top of me.  I minded a little at first but settled down when I noticed how warm she kept me by doing this.  I also went for a walk in the snow with my dog friend.  I took a lot of my naps with my girlfriend's sister who was not feeling well.  She let me sleep with her on her bed.  This made me feel so good.  I think I am getting used to this thing they call play.  When I chase a toy that has been thrown and bring it back my girlfriend becomes very happy.  Now I am happily chewing on a rawhide before bed.

Some new scenery

I woke up this morning with my father friend wanting me to go outside where it was cold.  I was a little scared to go out because it was still dark.  I ran under the desk in the other room.  Once I went out and came back in, my father friend told me I was good and let me go back to sleep.  A little while later my girlfriend's sister came down to leave for the day.  I was happy to see her.  I took another hour nap till my girlfriend took me for a walk.  She gave me breakfast and a treat.  I chewed on my rawhide in my room till my girlfriend came home.  She gave me a snack then we took a nap together on the couch.  After our nap she and her mom took me for a ride in the car to a place I have never been.  She told me it was called a park.  We walked around and I met a big rottweiler puppy.  He was bigger than I and he was eating mulch which I found utterly disgusting.  I came home, ate dinner, and chewed on my rawhide.  I feel that today was another success for a dog of my place.  I want to finish today by curlling up on the couch with my new friends and go to sleep.

The day I rebelled

I awoke this morning with my girlfriend wanting to go on a walk.  The sun was out and it was warmer than it has been.  After my walk I ran around our big backyard.  When I came inside I ate breakfast then went back to my room for my morning nap.  My girlfriend rubbed on me and gave me a hard candy.  I normally prefer soft candy but I was so hungry that I did not care.  A few hours later my girlfriends sister took me for a walk.  All of a sudden this smelly, loud, big, long, yellow thing appears.  I was so scared that I took off running.  I broke out of my warm coat off which was attached to my companion lead and I ran.  I was not really sure where I was going so every once in a while I stopped to check if sister was following me.  Once I was sure that she was I took off again.  Soon we were home and I was so tired that I took a nap.  I woke up to the sound of my girlfriends voice telling me to go on a nother walk.  The entire walk I was scared of all the different noises.  I heard cars but did not know where they were or if they were coming after me.  Later I watched TV with my girlfriend as she rubbed me all over and kept me warm.  I got angry with her on accident because I do not like where she put my food.  It is dark even when she turns on the light.  It is a little scary to go in there alone.  Usually my girlfriend sits with me when I eat so it is not so bad.  Still I felt at that time I needed to speak my mind.  Hopefully She will understand and help me solve this delemma.

My new bed and some new games

Today I woke up with my friend Big Mama.  She got me out of bed and left home to go shopping.  I was still tired so I jumped on the couch and went back to sleep.  My girlfriend came down an hour later and we napped together.  When Big Mama came home my girlfriend took me for a walk.  It was so cold outside that the walk turned into a run.  I ate a big breakfast and helped my friends fold the laundry.  One of the pieces of cloth was soft so I took it.  My friends thought it was funny.  They chased me and threw the cloth for me to go get.  I was very tired and slept a little.  I also chewed on my rawhide a lot.  I am still learning about toys.  They are soft and fun to chase.  Big Mama took my favorite pillows and blanket which made me sad for a little while.  When she finished with them she gave me two new beds.  One of the beds is in my room.  The other bed is in my girlfriends room.  My girlfriend has a young brother who let me cuddle with him while she cut papers.  I thought the paper cutting was so interesting that I went to explore.  My girlfriend told me she cut the papers in order to save money.  I still do not understand why the humans need such silly things.  I thought that I would understand better if I investegated the papers more.  An hour after we finished our project Big Mama took me for a walk.  It was so cold that I ran all the way home.  What A Day!

My first vet visit with my friends

Today was a full day.  I ate breakfast and chewed on my rawhide.  My older friend who everyone calls "Big Mama" was eating something that smelled so yummy.  I jumped in her lap, hopefully that was ok with her.  She did not seem to mind because she rubbed my ears.  After that my girl friend took me for a walk.  I began to run which caught her off gaurd.  We ran almost the entire way home.  We then went for a ride in the car.  I loved watching the window to see where we were going.  My friends took me into the veterinarian's office.  It had so many interesting smells that I could not help but wander around.  The vet tech was so nice to me.  When we whent into the room she pet me and said I was pretty.  I was not happy when she took my temperature because it was very uncomfortable.  I ran away from her a few times.  It is not fun having things put in your bottom.  When she was done I was given a treat for being a good girl.  My friend rubbed me on all of my favorite spots till the vet came in.  She was so kind and gentle that I did not know she gave me a shot till my girl friend and the vet tech scratched my ears and told me I was good.  The vet tech put me on the ground after the vet examined me.  My friends talked to them while I tried to take a nap under the bench.  The vet said I do not have a lot of health problems I need to worry about for a while.  My girlfriend and my older friend took me home.  I went for another walk with my girlfriend then followed her upstairs to take a nap.  I woke up an hour later and ate dinner.  Now I am curled up in my bed with my paws crossed waiting for my friend to tuck me in for the night.

Day One

Hello, My name is Eloise.  I am three years old and I was saved by some amazing humans.  I came from a shady situation that I do not want to talk about.  Since then I have been living with a lot of other dogs and some really nice humans.  A few days ago I met the nicest human. She pet me and took me for a walk.  After we had hung out for a while she told me she had to go so I gave her a kiss.  Yesterday her pack came to see me and talked to the humans about me.  I was so happy to see her that I could not wait to get out of the cozy bed I was in.  She held me and rubbed me all over.  She and her pack then gave me back to the nice humans.  I was sad to see her go.  After a few hours they came back and took me home.  They gave me a spa bath and lots of food and treats.  I was so scared that first night because I was not sure where I was.  The next day I woke up and played with my new friend.  We slept, ate, and watched the television.  I am so happy now.
